Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, almost 80 kilometres in length, and boasts 550 kilometres of coastline. It is an island rich in history, with a large number of prehistoric monuments and a host of idyllic beaches stretching along its coast. This is an established holiday destination full of diversity with stunning scenery, luxury hotels, hip hideaways, superb marinas and first-class restaurants. It was back in the 1960’s that the island welcomed its first overseas guests and nowadays Mallorca receives around 11 million visitors each year from all over the world.
For those keen to discover the original Mallorca then a visit to towns such as Felanitx and Petra is a must. Sundays at Felanitx are bursting with activity and local life due to the weekly farmers market where you will find colourful and aromatic displays of olives, artichokes, citrus fruits, and wildflowers. Petra is the ideal place to head with its tree-shaded squares and quiet cafes where you can mix with the locals enjoying homemade tapas and cafe con leche.
Relaxation can of course be enjoyed in the Mediterranean sunshine on one of the many blue flag sandy beaches of the island. There is a plentiful supply of hidden coves and bays where you can escape the crowds and take to the clear, clean waters ideal for swimming and popular with water sports. Alternatively, relaxing afternoons on one of the eleven established and well-designed golf courses can be enjoyed with their scenic surroundings.
Discovering this majestic island with its endless hidden gems, bountiful coves, historical sites, and picturesque villages appeals to all tastes and age groups.

The climate of Majorca is a Mediterranean climate, with mild and stormy winters and hot, bright summers. Summers are hot in the plains and winters are mild to cool, getting colder in the Tramuntana mountain range where, on occasions, it has been known to snow!
